I released this song internationally right before the Summer Olympics in Beijing. I wanted to do my part to call attention to the subjugation of the Tibetan people by China. In the lyrics, "The Ocean of All Wisdom" refers to the Dalai Lama--that's what Dalai Lama translates to in English. The Dalai Lama fled on foot over the Himalayas into India in 1959. It's true that his palace bedroom remains untouched, even his desk calendar remains unchanged. "The Lords of Four Directions" refer to statues guarding a Buddhist temple, a renowned shrine, in Tibet.
